Freedom vs. Budget:
Choosing Your Medicare Path
Medicare is Not One-Size-Fits-All
In Lake Havasu City, you have two primary ways to fill the gaps left by Original Medicare. This is a strict "Either/Or" decision. Federal rules do not allow you to have both a Medicare Supplement and a Medicare Advantage plan at the same time.

Both are excellent choices, but they serve entirely different lifestyles, network needs, and financial goals. We sit down with you and break down the math for both paths so you can make a confident choice.

The Best Part? The Plan Costs the Exact Same. You never pay a fee for our professional guidance, risk analysis, or enrollment help. Medicare plans cost the exact same whether you try to navigate the complex paperwork alone, call a national call center, or use a local independent broker. We are compensated directly by the insurance companies, allowing us to protect your interests at zero cost to you.
Path 1: Medicare Supplement (Medigap)
The "Freedom" Path
Doctor Choice: See any doctor in the U.S. who accepts Medicare. No networks, no referrals, very few prior authorizations.
Costs: Higher monthly premium, but out-of-pocket costs could be as low as $0 when you seek care. Depending on the plan chosen, some plans have very low co-pays for limited services when used.
Stability: Your coverage is standardized. Your benefits don't change year-to-year.
OR
Path 2: Medicare Advantage (Part C)
The "Budget" Path
Local Networks: Coordination through a local Havasu/Mohave network, and you need to receive prior authorizations for most care.
Costs: Often $0 or very low monthly premiums. You pay copays as you use the plan. The Maximum Out of Pocket can often exceed supplement premiums throughout the year. Just because a plan has a $0 premium does not mean $0 cost.
Perks: Often includes Dental, Vision, Hearing, and Gym memberships bundled in.

Why "Standard" Coverage (on either path) is Only Half the Battle
Regardless of which path you choose (1 or 2) there are still "holes" in the safety net. Medicare pays the surgeon, but it doesn't pay for the specialized home care or the daily bills that pile up during a major illness.

We help you choose Path 1 or Path 2, and then we reinforce that choice with Essential Protection Plans (Cancer, Heart Attack, Stroke, Recovery Care and Hospital Indemnity etc) to to protect your lifestyle (and nest egg) while you heal.
Can I Have Both?
No. It is actually illegal for an agent to sell you a Medicare Advantage plan if they know you already have a Medicare Supplement (unless you are switching from one to the other). We make sure your transition is clean, compliant, and correctly timed so you are not double-billed or left without coverage.
